This specific style gasket is the most effective for eliminating those nasty exhaust leaks between the HR exhaust manifold flange and the catalytic converter flange.  Its waffle style metal design is designed to not only crush when you tighten the two flanges together but also soak up the imperfections in the metal.  This gasket will not break away into pieces or stick to the flange after heat has gone through it.  By keeping its form and integrity allows you to reuse it as many times as you like.
